Anita Charlot has served as the Founder and Executive Director of Purrfect Harmony Unlimited based in Chicago , IL since it's inception in 2000.   In this capacity, she has worked in conjunction with several public and private organizations and universities including Allstate Insurance Company, the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee , Moon Shadows Publications, Affinity Community Services, Aunt Martha's Youth Center , and Unity in Chicago . In addition, she has served as a silent contributor to countless others.   Her responsibilities while working with these organizations included:

•  Development and delivery of supplemental spiritually motivated curriculum for pre-teens and women

•  Creating and delivering material for spiritual rites of passage ceremonies i.e. The Burning Bowl Ceremony

•  Tailored keynote speeches

•  Creating and facilitating certification workshops on the 5 Phases of Dating; self-awareness, and self- empowerment

•  Coaching individuals and couples on how to overcome relationship and communication challenges.

Anita's corporate experience brings to the table a wide background of several methodologies. Some of the positions she has held are:

•  Diversity Trainer and Operations Analyst for the Six Sigma Center of Excellence for Allstate Insurance

•  Operations Analyst and Marketing Project Manager for a privately held Global marketing firm with offices in India and the United Kingdom

•  Operations Manager for a privately owned technology firm

•  Controller and Human Resource Manager

Anita's passion for sharing her life's experiences and growth with others is what prompted her to create a business that provides loving assistance to others as they go through their own.   She is the author of the books Poetic Growing Pains , and The 5 Phases of Dating series.   She is also the creator of a FREE online e-course and writes and distributes a monthly newsletter filled with positive and uplifting information and links to assist one on their journey to personal growth. Anita has regularly contributed articles to online and in print magazines, such as EmpowerMag.com, Moon Shadows Publications, Inspire Magazine, Lipstick and Lace, Swirl, and Identity Magazine(formerly Blacklines). Anita's work has been the featured stories in several of the magazines that she writes for and her poetry has placed in the top three in competition.  

Anita is currently a Sponsor/Teacher for the Unity in Chicago Uniteens (grades 6-8) working in mentoring, coaching and teaching metaphysical concepts.   She holds a BS in Metaphysics from the American Institute for Holistic Theology; is completing her BA in Management and Accounting, and will then set out on the path pursuing her masters and doctorate in Clinical Psychology.   In her capacity as a Transformational Life Coach, she coaches with the compassion of a “Mother's Love” while also incorporating the “straight to the point” style of a loving big sister.   She has the ability to intuit between the lines with great accuracy, which has proven very successful in calling and drawing out the Purrfectly Authentic person from deep down inside her clients, and then takes that step further by teaching them how to live from their true self.

It is Anita's desire to reach as many people as she can in assisting them to get in touch with who they are deep down inside rather than who they have been conditioned to be.   She is looking forward to continuing her work with companies and organizations, large and small in all arenas in bridging the gap between the employee's responsibilities to their company and maintaining their sense of connection to themselves. She does this through keynote speaking and facilitating workshops for the employee, as well as Diversity training on sensitive issues with management and supervisory staff.   She will combine her love of Metaphysics with her training in Psychology to develop a new school of thought, “Metaphysical Psychology—the Anita Charlot method”, that will encompass all that we are, along with the possibilities and the tools to become all that we want to be.

In her spare time, Anita enjoys reading, meditation and yoga. She enjoys comic relief through the performing arts, with her most recent performance being the Vagina Monologues, in which the proceeds went to benefit female victims of sexual violence.   Anita has two wonderfully spirited sons, BJ and Gerald. She is very much looking forward to expanding her Transformational Coaching practices, and has set the goal to open a Metaphysical Wellness Center in the near future.
